Environment and Hybrid Car
"Hybrid Car Owners Champions of the Environment...."
It's taking some time, but the idea of owning a hybrid powered car is beginning to catch on.
..........Everyone is fascinated by the idea of hybrid cars, but the public has been slow to buy them.
On reason is that many people just can't afford to pay the extra money to buy a hybrid.
Others are cautious because they fear that technology will bypass the hybrid in the next couple of years and they will be stuck with a car that has little resale value.
It takes a leap of faith to be the first to buy new technology, just as when the convention car first came into existence.
There are some positives. Many buyers found that tax incentives and saving money on gas are the best reasons to go hybrid.
For those truly concerned with our quality of life the environmental reasons to buy a hybrid vehicle have outweighed all other reasons.

Those reasons include:
1. Emissions: With all the news about high gas prices, driving a hybrid sounds like a great idea. Hybrids are very gasoline efficient, because they rely on electricity for some of their power. This has made it possible for hybrids to get great mileage per gallon.
The environmental impact is phenomenal. Hybrids dump fewer harmful emissions into the air. Chemicals from dioxides, to nitrogen oxide all get into the air with gasoline powered cars.
Although hybrids do produce have some emissions they perform so well that the EPA has made special ratings for them.
2. Availability of Gasoline: Acquiring gas has become a major concern for the entire world. Having to build more refineries to produce gas will only put more chemicals into the air.
Discovering oil has become very difficult and expensive. Many have objected to the government's desire to drill in protected areas. It seems that everyone wants cheap gas, but they want to restrict the discovery and refining of it.
3. Human Dangers: The human body does not take well to the excessive amounts of carbon dioxide, lead and other chemicals that gas-guzzling cars emit. Many of the chemicals produced by emissions have been linked to cancer, birth defects and a number of other preventable conditions.
4. Friend of the Environment: Many say that buying a hybrid is a great idea, but few buy one. Who can be blamed, since the cost is thousands of dollars more than for a regular car? For those few who are taking the leap of faith, they can take pride in contributing to environmental awareness. Buying a hybrid is one of the best ways to get the environmental domino effect moving.
Numerous other reasons to buy are being offered by the manufacturers of hybrid vehicles. To many, any issues that makers are having with the production or sale of hybrid vehicles seem like less of a problem than finding real ways to protect the environment.
Yes, but just who buys hybrid cars?
